The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Personal fitness includes physical, mental, and emotional fitness.

In addition boys will learn how to use, recycle, and conserve our natural resources, use basic hand tools, camping skills, and work with others as a team.
